JoElla Baker, age 77, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Yellville. She was born December 28, 1944 in Harrison, Arkansas to the late Elva Lee and Lucille (Burleson) Kirkwood.
JoElla was a lifetime resident of Marion County, she worked as an inspector for MarBax Shirt Factory for many years. After she retired, she and her husband Charles would spend their winters in Texas, they did this for several years. She was best known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her daughter; Joanalia Proffitt (Mark) of Yellville; two brothers, Leroy Kirkwood of Newport and Elza Guy Kirkwood of Beebe, Arkansas; one sister, Janelle Kirkwood of Springdale, Arkansas; two grandsons, Logan Adams and Reid McGaughey and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles.
Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 am Monday, July 11, 2022 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
A Graveside service will follow at 10:30 am Monday, July 11, 2022 at Layton Cemetery with Pastor James Foster officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Reid McGaughey, Logan Adams, Rusty Evans, Jason Proffitt, Steve Evans and B.J. Reeves.

She was an amazing person...she was like a mom to me growing up....she's at peace now and in Heaven with best friends and family looking down on us and watching over us like aleays.....prayers and hugs and lots of love to the family
