of Marshall, AR
October 11, 1950 - July 6, 2022
Peggy Sue (Kelley) Ragland of Marshall was born October 11, 1950 in Harrison, Arkansas, daughter of the late Millard and Ermadean Watts Kelley. She left her earthly life on July 6, 2022 surrounded by her family and was called to her heavenly home at the age of 71. Without a doubt, her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted Mom and Gram and she leaves a rich legacy of love and laughter.
Peggy graduated from Marshall High School in 1968. She attended Harrison Beauty College and was a beautician on and off throughout her life, as well as the director of the Harrison Housing Authority. Peggy was known for being the programmer at the local radio station, KCGS, and host of the Swap Shop. She spent the last part of her career as a driver for a medical transportation service. Her true calling in life was being a caregiver and she cared for others as though they were her own family. In her spare time, Peggy enjoyed singing gospel music, playing instruments including the piano, mandolin and bass, and performing with her lifelong friends in The Gospel Strings. To know her was to truly love her. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone she met with her sweet spirit and contagious smile. Of all the important roles she played in the lives of so many, Peggy's favorite was the role of "Gram" to her most cherished grandchildren. She was a light in this world and will be greatly missed.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Andria Farris and husband, Terry of Searcy; two grandchildren, Garrett Skaggs of Sherwood, Jordan Smith and husband, Jacob of Sheridan; sister, Diane Manes and husband, Ronnie of Snowball; two nieces, Misty Barnett and Kelli Lindgren. She is also survived by her beloved Maltipoo, Rosko Riley, as well as a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Donnie Horton will be officiating. Burial services will be at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Leslie. Pallbearers are Terry Farris, Ralph Skaggs, Garrett Skaggs, Jacob Smith, Billy Ray Kelley and Ronnie Manes. Honorary pallbearers are Claude Mize and Danny Wheeler

Over the years of my knowing her mom and dad and then meeting Peggy and knowing that her mom was a Watts. And having Peggy and her parents for a short time attending our reunions - due to their passing on - but Peggy became the Watts Family Treasurer for a year - she sang at our reunions and seemed to enjoy her self - and then she dropped out and was on the radio. I would see Peggy around Marshall when I visited there and she was always such a happy person and gave big hugs and had a huge smile on her face. Peggy will be missed - greatly!!!! My sympathies go out to those who knew her and will be missing her - she is now singing in heaven with her mom and dad!!!!
