of Harrison, AR
September 16, 1941 - June 30, 2022
On the morning of June 30, 2022, our beloved Frances Ruth Cockrum of Harrison, AR. went to be with her Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Coston and Mary Ruth Taylor Coston; brother, Earl Coston; sisters, Virginia Sue Coston and Mary Ruth Bucher; son, Buddy Wayne McKnight and late husband, Benjamin Owen.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey Cockrum, of Harrison, AR; daughters, Terri McKnight of Rector, AR, Sherry Eddings of Harrison, AR; son, Clifford McKnight (Sandra) of Smackover, AR; ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Frances was born September 16, 1941, in Bearden, AR. to Earl and Mary Coston. She spent most of her life working in food service, where she developed her love of baking during those years and shared that passion with everyone she met. In her later years, she enjoyed many activities with her husband Harvey. They spent many days fishing, picking up walnuts every fall, attending church services at North Side Church of Christ in Harrison, AR., and Golden Years with all their friends. More than anything she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, in her mind, they all hung on the moon.
Funeral service was Saturday at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Powers officiating. Visitation was Saturday at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Entombment was at Baxter Memorial Gardens in Mountain Home.
Honorary pallbearers were Leon Coston, Kent Eddings, Rick Evans, Cody Cockrum, Charlie Cockrum and George Cockrum.
