Jo Laverne Moore, 75, died at her home in Clarksville on Sunday, June 26, 2022. She was born July 16, 1946 in Mesquite, Texas to Lowrie Boyd and Marcelia May (Hunstable) Box. Jo was deeply devoted to her family and enjoyed studying the history and genealogies of her kin. She also enjoyed crocheting and fishing.
Jo is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Patton Moore Sr.; her parents, Lowrie and Marcelia Box; one sister, Annita Powell and one brother, Charles Box. She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Nowotny and husband Don and Belinda Moore; one son, Mac McWilliams and wife Bertha; seven grandchildren, Crystal, Jeff, Ashley, Brandon, Colton, Will and Dennis and six great-grandchildren, Kadence, Eleanor, Jacob, McKenzie, Paden and Jayden.
A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home followed by burial at Hartman Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mark Ralph, Lee Pannell, Bob Jackson, Russell Stokes, Devin Schlutermann and Andrew Ralph will serve as bearers. Jeff Nowotny, Brandon Young, Colton Davidson, Will McWilliams, Dennis McWilliams, Jacob Ross and Jamie Thompson will serve as honorary bearers. The service will be officiated by Larry Holman.
Grandma, although your time on this earth has come to an end you had a great life. We have great memories together and I’ll cherish them. You will be greatly missed. Praying for myself, my mom and family during this difficult time.
