Alice Mae Gregory, 98, of Harrison passed away on June 13, 2022. She was born May 7, 1924, in Hazelton, Kansas, the daughter of Dee Harvey and Icy Elizabeth (Jones) Dillwith.
Ms. Alice was a devoted loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. A wonderful homemaker, seamstress, and loyal employee, ending her employment at Burco/ArkRod in Harrison, Arkansas. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with her family to Texas, Florida, and California, and was fortunate enough to take a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands with her daughters and grandsons. She was an avid reader and ended each day by reading her Bible and Praying.
Alice grew up primarily in the Midwest and on the west coast with brothers, Harold and Don and sister, Donna Crow. Her first job was at Douglas Aircraft during World War II, she delivered messages and small parts while roller-skating around the plant. While working there she met and married Richard Manley and they share two daughters, Alice Dee Lewis and Patricia Ann Mullinix. In 1949, she met and married Adrian W. Gregory and they shared four children, Sandra Kay Martin of Harrison, Randall Wiley, Steven Ray of Texas, and Jeffrey of Harrison. She has eight grandchildren, Kathleen Lewis, Theresa Lewis Gregory, Gregory Todd Yearack, Robert Brentley, Brian, Lisa, Becky Martin, and Shalee Collins of Lorena, Texas. Also survived by great-grandchildren whom she loved, some include, Clarissa Parrish, Jennifer Grooms, Garrison Reece Yearack, Joshua Allen Gregory, Berry Ann Martin, Hunter Martin, Payton Zane Kinser, and Raylee Ann Mareth Collins. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard Manley and Adrian W. Gregory; son, Randall (Randy) Wiley; granddaughter, Becky Martin; great-grandchild, Berry Ann Martin, and brother, Harold Dillwith,
Services were at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Johnny Walters officiating. The interment was at Maplewood Cemetery, Harrison, Arkansas.
Visitation was Friday, June 17, 2022, from 1:00 2:00 PM, with open viewing from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
I was blessed to be able to meet you all and to be able to care for her. You all touched my life in such a short time. She was so precious. You all are in my prayers.
Grandma Alice was an amazing woman!! What a life to live for 98 years. You are so lucky to have had her for such a long time. ⤠she is singing with the Angel's and rejoicing with your daddy. I wish i could be there but know my heart will be with you. Much love to all. ðŸ™
