Jerome Frank Shell, age 79, of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 at Baxter Regional in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born in Leslie, Arkansas on June 30th, 1942 to W.F. "Frank" Shell and Madge Boyd Shell.
Jerry attended the United Methodist Church in Leslie. He worked as an Agriculture teacher for many years. Jerry was very strong in his political beliefs and worked hard to bring the community together at holidays. He loved spending time at the library and senior center. One of his favorite pastimes was walking his dog every evening. Jerry was such a kind and caring person who loved his church family and his many friends greatly.
Survivors include his two brothers, Lee Shell and wife Debbie of Dallas, TX and Lewis Shell of Kaufman, TX; nephews, Matthew Shell and Ian Shell (Heather); niece, Amy Shell; great-niece, Regan Shell; special friends and caregivers, Amber Robertson and family of Leslie; and many extended family and dear friends who will also mourn his passing.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, W.F. "Frank" and Madge Shell; one brother who died in infancy, Paul Shell and sister-in-law, Betty.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 17th, 2022 at the United Methodist Church in Leslie, Arkansas.
We were so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. Jerry was a long time member of the KUAF family and he will be missed by all of us.
Jerry was one of a kind... An amazing man... He will def be missed by all!

We had just moved to Leslie and Mr. Jerry stopped abd introduced himself to b is and invited us to a bbq. It was always great picking him up and taking him to the c senior center he always asked abd wanted to know more about us. Such a friendly neighbor, he will be missed.
Jerry cared more about others than himself. A good man and a good neighbor.
Jerry will be greatly missed. He was always so thoughtful and considerate of others. My deepest sympathy to the family .

So sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. Jerry was the nicest person person I knew . He always had something good to say about everyone . He always had a smile on his face even when you knew he wasn't feeling well. Jerry was a daily visitor here at the Searcy senior center rain or shine he'd be here even if he had to walk the whole way from leslie to Marshall he'd be here. Jerry's presence will greatly be missed here at the center . I always enjoyed are short talks after he at lunch here on the way to drop him off at the library, he always had something funny or something very interesting to say . So sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. Jerry spent many hours at the library and love to read all the different newspapers we had. The staff and I got to know him well these many years. Jerry always had a hello for everyone he saw. Praying Gods comfort for him, and his entire family.

I'm very sorry to hear about Jerry. Jerry and I have been friends for many years. He was well though of by everyone who knew him
