R. B. Floyd, age 85, departed this life on May 28, 2022 at his home in the presence of his family. He was born June 16, 1936, as the first child to Norman and Ora Edwards Floyd. He retired from Ark-La Gas and was an active member of the Batesville First Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nona Moore Floyd; two children, Nancy Cantrell (J) of Weston, Missouri and Thomas Floyd (Nicole) of Batesville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Jacob Cantrell, Matthew Cantrell (Krisse), Sarah Cantrell Vaughn (Chad), Alexa Floyd and Isabella Floyd; eight great-grandchildren, Axl Cantrell, Aidan Cantrell, Ariston Cantrell, Breya Cantrell, Aaron Vaughn, Lydia Vaughn, Nona Vaughn, and Jimi Vaughn; a sister, Brenda Rackley (Steve); and two brothers, Bernes Floyd (Shirley) and Ray Floyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gene Floyd and Gerald Floyd.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Dr. Rev. Roberta Bustin officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville. Burial will follow at Kyler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 1611 Harrison St., Batesville, AR 72501.
