of Marshall, AR
June 15, 1935 - April 29, 2022
Joe Dale Loggins, age 86 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, April 29th, 2022 at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri surrounded by his family. He was born on June 15th, 1935 in Zack, Arkansas to Floyd Taylor Loggins and Okla Anice Sanders Loggins Brown.
Papaw (as he was known to most of his family) had a work ethic second to none. He worked most of his life in the timber industry but did spend some time working in California at a cotton gin. He has also told tales of spending one summer planting apple trees in the mountains above Tehachapi, CA. A phone call to Papaw would often be met with the question "Are you working today?" He kept up with everyone and everything. He kept watch over Chestnut Street and knew everything that was going on. His phone calls were consistent and short, with him knowing exactly what he wanted to ask and not wanting to be asked any questions himself. Papaw was headstrong and persistent to say the least. He lived his life the way that he wanted to and never wavered from that. His grandkids and great grandkids always had a seat at the table when they were at his house. There was always a TV with "comedies" and plenty of Honey Buns to be offered up. Papaw was very special to everyone that he knew and he will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Survivors include Betty Hensley Loggins of the home; his children, Randy Loggins and wife Debbie of Marshall and Brenda Fendley and husband Fred, also of Marshall; grandchildren, Shane Williams (Debbie) of Russellville, Tara Warren (Casey) of Gilbert, Drew Apple (Lindsey) of St. Joe, Taylor Loggins of Hernando, Mississippi and Lauren Loggins of Marshall; great-grandchildren, Gavin Parks (Kayla) of Hector, Bryce Williams (Tiffany) of Russellville, Avery Pruitt (Matt) of Hector, Grant Warren of Gilbert and Grace Warren, also of Gilbert; great-great grandchildren, Berkley Parks, Kinsleigh Williams, Kyler Williams, Holly Rose Pruitt and one great-great granddaughter on the way; one sister, Jeweldean Hensley of Marshall; special friend and caregiver, Angela Gifford; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will also mourn his passing.
