Judith Michelle Palmer, 53, passed away of natural causes on March 9, 2022. She was born on August 4, 1968 in Bastrop, Louisiana. She obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English from the University of Central Arkansas. She became an English Instructor and valued reading and writing throughout her life.
Michelle married her soul mate Brit Palmer, and they remained married until his death in 2012. Michelle is survived by her two sons, Garrett Philip Palmer of Little Rock and Tristan Malone Palmer and his wife, Alexandrea Barentine and their son, Grayson of Maumelle; mother, Judith Adele Gage; and her adoptive father James Michael McKim Sr. Michelle is preceded in death by her birth father, Michael Malone Hinson and her husband, Brit Palmer.
The family will lay Michelle to rest in a private service.
I was deeply saddened to learn of Michelle's passing. We worked together at PTC for several years and then continued our friendship after we moved on, meeting at Capers for lunch, going to a movie, or having long phone conversations. My thoughts are with you all.
I am deeply saddened to learn of Michelle's death. She and I were at UCA and PTC together. Michelle was smart, funny, acerbic, thoughtful, challenging, observant, and kind. As a teacher she was competent, compassionate, and committed to helping her students learn. She loved Britt and their sons,Tristan and Garrett, with a fierce intensity. Michelle made me laugh and made me cry, and I will miss her.

I was so sorry to hear about Michelle. She and I taught together at Pulaski Technical College for several years. She loved her family, and I know she’ll be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Michelle’s passing. I worked with her for many years at Pulaski Technical College. She was an important member of our English team and worked tirelessly to prepare her students for upper level composition classes. My prayers are with her boys whom she loved so deeply and the rest of her family. Rest in peace, Michelle.
Michelle was a gifted colleague. During our 15 years together, we shared many life experiences. Through it all, she remained a staunch friend.
