Bobby Stewart

of Marion, AR

August 11, 1950 - April 11, 2022

Bobby Gene Stewart (Born 8-11-1950) passed away at his home on April 11, 2022, with his devoted wife, Deana Jo Stewart (Jeffries) at his side. Bobby was born and raised in Camden TN by his parents William Avery and Lorene Elizabeth Stewart. Bobby was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Roy and his sister Mary Lou.

Bobby graduated from Camden High School in 1968 and Memphis State University in 1973 with a degree in Education. He and Deana were married on July 28, 1972. Bobby was an athletic trainer for Memphis State University as well as West Memphis Christian School. Bobby was the President of Mid South Tool Supply. He founded MSTS in 1988 and worked with his family from the beginning.

To know Bobby would mean you knew his laugh. He loved to laugh. He loved to talk to anyone at any time and often felt like it was his duty to strike up a conversation with whomever he was around. Bobby also loved to travel, eat, coach baseball, and spend time doing woodworking projects. He did all of these things while making sure his wife was right there with him at all times. You didn't just know Bobby Stewart, you knew Bobby and Deana. Bobby loved his sons, their families and the 3 generations that are working at his company today. He valued friends as family. He valued relationships and made sure that you knew how important you were to him.

Bobby believed in God, family and living life to the fullest. He was a devoted member of Missouri St. Church of Christ, past board president at WMCS, WMCS Head Baseball Coach (2016-2018), and a dedicated fan of the New York Yankees & the University of Memphis Tigers. He coached every sport his kids participated in and was even fundamental to bringing youth soccer to West Memphis in the early 1980's. Bobby loved to tell stories of his past, spend time watching his grandkids in activities and cook with his wife. Bobby loved to run into his "other kids" that he influenced over the years. He loved seeing how they had grown and started their own lives. Young or old, Bobby could relate to anyone and anyone could relate to Bobby. He loved Carnival Day at WMCS. He knew it was when he could get 2 corn dogs, 1 nacho, a funnel cake and cotton candy delivered to him at his desk at work....Hey, the man loved to eat. He was a man that everyone had a story about and a man that was always thought of in the highest regard. He was a true gentleman.

Bobby leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Deana Jo Stewart (Jeffries), 2 sons, Dale Stewart (Holli), Ben Stewart (Emily), 5 grandchildren, Parker, Ryan, Jake, Brooklyn and Taylor Gene Stewart (his namesake) and a host of people he touched and influenced across this country.

Visitation for Bobby will be Sunday, April 17, 2022 at 5:00 -7:00pm at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR.
Services for Bobby will be Monday, April 18, 2022 at 10:00am at Missouri St. Church of Christ in West Memphis, AR. Burial will be immediately after at Crittenden Memorial Gardens.

Bobby was my best friend growing up and through High School. We shared experiences, good times and rough times. Bobby and his parents were the perfect example of a loving family and helped molded me into who I was to become and who I am now, and no doubt saved my life. Some people are put in your life by God, and some are removed for different reasons. Rest In Peace my forever friend in life and death.

Deana, Dale, Ben and family. Words cannot express my heartbreak for your loss of Bobby. He was such a great example to look up to as a follower of God, a caring husband to Deana, and an active parent to his boys and their families. Bobby has reached his final reward and the wonderful, caring memories will help you thru the difficult time ahead. You are in our prayers now. God's will is done and He is always with you now and forever. Love you!

The world was a better place with Mr Bobby in it. He was one of those people who just gifted people who knew him. Our community will miss him, as will our family. My kids admired and looked up to him. Shea and I held the marriage between him and his beautiful wife as the gold standard and what wonderful role models and examples!! We love you all and will continue to pray for healing and comfort for your family ! ❤️

We are both shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Bobby. He and I both learned the Tool and Die supply business together as friendly competitors during the sixties in Memphis. Ive always considered Bobby to be a very good friend and I believe GOD never made a better man than he was. Our most sincere condolences go out to Deana and the families.

There is never a right time to lose a parent and although we have never met him, it is evident he had a heart and soul that touched the lives of so many people whom loved him dearly. May you feel his arms wrapped around you at this difficult time and always feel comfort in the unforgettable memories you made with him. Love never ends.

So very sorry to hear about Bobby's passing. He was a good friend in our earlier highschool years, and became a very respected and loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to so many people. Above all, Bobby was a Christian man, who preached his own funeral by the way he lived. Love and prayers to you, Deanna, and to your children. Bobby is not in pain anymore, and now in the arms of our precious Lord Jesus Christ. I thank God for knowing Bobby Stewart and for his friendship.

Deana and family, I am so sorry to hear about Bobby's passing. He was a great man whom loved the Lord, life, his family and was so attentive with the children of all ages. I am so grateful to have been under his coaching when he coached my daughter, Kim White back in the day. She loved Mr. Bobby. Sweet memories. Will be continuing to lift you all in my prayers in this chapter of your lives.
