Lowell Joe Wallace, 85 of Greenbrier went to his heavenly home on March 16, 2022. He was born on February 14, 1937 in Shirley, Arkansas. He was the son of Hobert Lee Wallace and Ina Pauline Huie Wallace. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lee (Hootie) Wallace, and sister-in-law, Delores Privitt.
He is survived by his childhood sweetheart of 65 years, Charlene Ross Wallace; his sons, Joey (Amber) Wallace, David (Susie) Wallace; grandchildren, Adam (Lindsey) Wallace, Clint (Payton) Wallace, Lane (Ashley) Wallace, Whitney (Glenn) Stodart; great-grandchildren, Tripp, Emma, Ren and West Wallace; sister-in-law, Margaret Wallace; brother-in-law, Donald Privitt, and several nieces and nephews.
He was saved on March 19, 1963. He was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church where he led singing for several years. He loved going to church and telling people about Jesus.
In his early years he worked at Coleman Dairy and IGA Grocery Store. In his later years he built homes and worked at CW Culvert where he spent many hours on the front porch visiting with friends. One of his favorite jobs was working with his son in his Chap shop making and selling chaps to the cowboys.
Joe never met a stranger. He loved sports, rodeos and westerns. He loved drinking coffee with his buddies at McDonalds. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Special thanks to the staff at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab for taking great care of our Papa.
Pallbearers are Adam, Clint, Lane and Wendell Wallace, Scott Miller and Jim Gray. Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry Henderson, Joe Benton, Jimmy Everett and Don Hensley.
The funeral service will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 84 E. Main Street, Greenbrier at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 20th. Burial to follow at the church.

I only found out about Joe this morning, I am truly sorry for your loss. Some of my best memory’s of Joe is sitting on the back porch talking about anything that came to our minds. I have missed those times with a friend that blessed my heart. My God bless you and give you comfort in the days to come.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. My memories of Mr Wallace were mainly in the shop working on chaps. He is now free of life's struggles.

i don't have the words what Joe meant to me, he hauled me to all of those rodeos when i was a kid and bought me my first pair of spurs.Old cowboys like him can't be replaced.
We were so saddened to hear of Brother Joe’s home going. He was a very special man and loved by all who knew him. Our sincere prayers are with all the family during this time.
