Ellarhea Sutterfield Sitton Cates, age 95 of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, March 11th, 2022 at Ozark Health Nursing and Rehab in Clinton. She was born on February 6th, 1927 in Campbell,Arkansas to George Washington Sutterfield Sr. and Nelsie Barnes Sutterfield.
Ellarhea worked at Flint Rock Shirt Factory for over 20 years and did home health for several years before retiring. She loved to make quilts and clothing for her family. Everyone loved her coconut pies. She was a member of Leslie First Baptist Church. Ellarhea was a devoted and hard-working mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Keith Cates (Amanda) of Hensley and James Sitton of Melbourne; three daughters, Pauletta Jackson (Charles) of Marshall, Rita Crow of Conway and Candace Loggains (Ronny) of Melbourne; grandchildren, Zach Cates, Jordan Cates, Hannah McGraw, Eric Sitton, Noah Sitton, Chuck Jackson, Randy Jackson, Samuel T. Passmore, Revel Passmore, Charla Ragland and Ricky Don Crow; twenty great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Faun Sutterfield; and a host of nephews, nieces, and many friends whom she loved dearly.
Ellarhea was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nelsie Sutterfield; husbands, Edwin Cates and Paul Sitton; one daughter, Judy Sharon Passmore; eight brothers; and seven sisters.
Funeral services for Ellarhea will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Chris Reade, Bro. Gary Ragland and Bro. Matthew Jackson officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 in the Chapel. Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as bearers.
