Walter Hampton Lockley, resident of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in McCrory, Arkansas at the age 0f 81. He was born July 19, 1940 in Weona, Arkansas to parents Walter W. and Leslie N. Lockley.
Walter was a long-time member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Wynne, Arkansas. He spent his life farming and retired in 2016 after over 52 years. He loved the outdoors spending as much time outside as he could. He was known for his gardening skills and sharing his fruits of labor with the community. He was especially proud of his tomato gardening. He was also an avid fisherman.
Walter is survived by his sons Keith Lockley (Cynthia) of Cherry Valley, Arkansas and Allen Moody (Ashley) of Marion, Arkansas, his three daughters; Kim Stevenson, Kelsiey Lockley and Autumn Lockley all of Cherry Valley as well. He also leaves three brothers; Cecil Lockley, Lonnie Lockley and Chris Lockley as well as four sisters; Charlotte Gage, Barbara Williams, Dorothy Crossman and Peggy Lockley. He will be deeply missed by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents, his son Chris Moody, his brother Johnny Lockley and his grandson Adam Paul Lockley.
