James Alexander Schaffhauser, age 78, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock. He was born May 23, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Herbert A. Schaffhauser and Elizabeth "Betty" Cushman Schaffhauser.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Boyce Schaffhauser; two sons, Chris Schaffhauser (Lori) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Tom Schaffhauser of Horn Lake, Mississippi; daughter, Melissa Schaffhauser Ferguson; four grandchildren, Sara Cash, Rachel Schaffhauser, Katherine Schaffhauser, and Julia Ferguson; two brothers, Derryl "Beaver" Schaffhauser (Carolyn) and James Alexander Garrett (Marcia); a host of other cousins, family, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his biological father, James Alexander Garrett; father, Herbert A. Schaffhauser; and mother, Betty Schaffhauser.
A memorial service for Mr. James Schaffhauser will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Helena, Arkansas.

I am so sorry to hear about Jimmy’s passing. He was a good guy and a great friend. We enlisted in the Air Force together and at Lackland in the same squadrons and barracks.
He was a fine airman. I wish I could be there Saturday but my thoughts and prayers will be with you. Cherish your memories and you will always have Jimmy.

Uncle jimmy was so funny and loved nature. I remembered all the aunts,uncles,and cousins at aunt Dots house on Sunday afternoon playing cards ,eating,laughing and having fun.miss those days hearing Uncle Jimmy’s laughter.l love all of you.daddy sends his love.
