Minnie D. Bechtel, 88, of Benton passed away in her home Saturday, February 5, 2022. She was born in Corning, AR to the late Roy Mckinney and Helen (Hinkle) Mckinney. She worked in many fields throughout her life including homemaker and mother. She was retired from J.C. Penney's. She had a Flair for interior design and loved gardening-being happiest outside. Minnie was the matriarch and caregiver of her family having taken in many relatives through the years.
In addition to her parents Minnie was preceded in death by son Jackie ''Jack'' M. Gibson, Granddaughters Christina G. Bechtel, and Kendra N. Hixson; siblings Melvin Mckinney, Larry Mckinney, Howard Mckinney, Janet Beeler, Yvonne Carter, and Lelia Seratt.
Minnie is survived by sons Clint E. Bechtel, Kenney Bechtel and wife Barbara, Michael R Bechtel and wife Teresa, Alex Bechtel, daughter in law Kathey Gibson, daughter Jane Bechtel, Grandsons Clinton W. Bechtel, Douglas Baughtman, Jeremy Hixson, Brian Hixson, Jonathan Bechtel; granddaughter Tonya Smith; siblings Winfred Mckinney, Vanetta Hairston, Louise Swinford, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great, great-grandchild, numerous relatives and friends
