Nora Elizabeth Hornbeak, 92, of Hughes, Arkansas passed away peacefully Friday, January 28, 2022 at her home. She was born Wednesday, September 11, 1929 to Jesse Vineyard Wooten and Minnie Grimes Wooten in Rondo, Arkansas.
She is survived by three sons, Larry W Hornbeak (Sue), of Forrest City, Arkansas, Terry Hornbeak (Kathy), and Lorin Hornbeak, all of Hughes, Arkansas, one daughter, Sandra Dilks (Carroll), of Marianna, Arkansas, seven grandchildren, Carie Teague, Brad Hornbeak, Katie Hornbeak, Steven Dilks, Lyndsey Dilks, Jennifer Moore, Lorna Casey, thirteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty-five years, Wallace W. Hornbeak, one daughter, Patti Hornbeak, and one grandson, Ashley Green.
Mrs. Hornbeak was a member of Central Baptist Church of Hughes. She was the owner of Hughes Drive Inn Restaurant. She loved cooking, canning and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Teague, Brad Hornbeak, Steven Dilks, Brad Moore, Levi Casey, and Alex Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Prestage, Gene Wooten, Robert Wooten, Thomas Beene, and Buddy Hughes.
Services will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas with Brother Lee Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will follow services at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas. The family request masks to be worn. Lorin,Terry and Sandra, I was so sorry to hear about your precious Mom. I pray that God will wrap his arms around you and give you comfort during this time of sorrow. I will not be able to come today due to the fact that I am in the hospital but my thoughts and prayers will be with y’all during the services today. What a wonderful life Aunt “Tuggie†lived! She lived for others. Always kind and always willing to help anyone. When I think of her I always see that beautiful smile of hers. She will be missed. Prayers for God’s peace and comfort for Aunt Tuggie’s family. MyDad, Robert Calvin Wooten was her Oldest brother.
