of Quitman, AR
September 27, 1939 - January 21, 2022
Charles ''Chuck'' Marion Jones, 82, (known by most as Mug) of Quitman, AR went to be with the Lord January 21, 2022. He was born September 27, 1939, to the late Marceil Rickman and Royce Jones.
Mug served in The United States Army where he worked alongside missiles while stationed in Germany. Throughout his life he worked as a truck driver and a mechanic. Mug grew up and spent most of his life in Quitman. He enjoyed living in God's Country and on any given day you could find him on his lawn mower or tractor caring for yards and land. But his greatest joy in life was his family. He cherished every moment that he spent with them. Mug was a generous, kind, and loving man with a big heart and always willing to help someone in need. His laugh and smile was infectious. To know him was to love him.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Jeff Jones; Aunts, Ruby Crawford, Marvelle Thomas. He is lovingly survived by his children, Lisa Jones, Arnalin Wade, Joe Dean Smith and wife Catherine; five grandchildren, Michelle, Anna, Brandon, Dylan, Travis; two great-grandchildren, Everett and Forrest; one brother, Harold Jones; ex-wife and mother of his children, Linda Jones; grand dog, Shorty, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends whom are grateful for having shared in Chuck's life.
A visitation for Mug will be held from 12pm to 2pm on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. The funeral service will begin at 2:00PM also at the funeral home, with Bro. Bennie Foster officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Arkansas Bank & Trust in memory of Charles M. Jones to help assist the family towards the funeral services.
