Helen Lucinda Billings, of Yellville, Arkansas, passed into the promised rest January 16, 2022, at the age of 92. She was born January 25, 1929, at Fairview, AR, the 7th of 10 children born to William and Clara Osborn. She was sister to Vida, Hazel, Ivaree, Richard, Carl, Wanda, JoAnn, Arnold, and George.
Helen graduated from Flippin High School in 1947. She loved sewing and was very proud of a seamstress contest she won while in Home Economics. She married James Rush Billings on December 21, 1947. While raising her children she worked at the Yellville shoe store and as a receptionist for Dr. Kelly. She retired from Baxter Laboratories in 1992 when Rush passed. She enjoyed her grandkids and great grandkids, as well as gardening and tending her flowers. She loved sharing her garden's produce with friends and family. During harvest season she often worked into the midnight hours canning and freezing the excess. One of her favorite hobbies was quilting and making clothes. She thoroughly enjoyed the quilting and fellowship at the Yellville quilting club. She was probably most known and loved for her hospitality. Friends and family were always welcome to a bed and meals for as long as they needed. She was a superb cook and loved taking food to others. She was a faithful and active member of the Broadway church of Christ in Yellville.
She is survived by one brother, Arnold; three children, Danny Billings of Noble, MO, Jackie Baker and husband Lyn of Yellville, AR, and Randy Billings of Yellville, AR; four grandchildren, Landon Billings and wife Monica of Seymour, MO, Lindsee Buckallew and husband Jason of Marshfield, MO, Ashley Gunter and husband Jason of Willow Springs, MO, and Fabian Billings of Round Rock, TX; 11 great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews scattered across the US.

Jackie,
Sorry for your family's loss.
Dear family,
My love to you all. So grateful for her helping mom during the war and again when helping my little sister Kandie when mom passed. Such a good person and lovely lady. I loved feeding the calves with her. It’s a precious memory.
What wonderful memories you all have.
I’ve always thought of Aunt Helen as the “glue†that held the far-flung Osborn tribe together. She always kept up with everyone and was the keeper of the family history. I will miss her.
It is a tribute to her and Uncle Rush that the three of you shared in and agreed on decisions regarding her care.
I’ve been blessed to have stayed many times both at the old home place and with her later in life and have so many sweet memories of our times together! The year I brought my grandson Zack back is a great one! So thankful I did and he loved staying there! My mom so loved all the many trips back to spend time with her family and theirs! Aunt Helen was a blessing and will
Be missed but I know she’s celebrating reunions with Uncle Rush and family now without pain. Sending love to all!
I am so sorry for your loss. I have some fond memories of visiting in your home, Jackie. Your mom was always so pretty, a great housekeeper, and treated me well. My condolences go out to each of you and your families.
So sad to see this. Helen was one of my favorite ladies. We had many lively conversations over the years. She was always bringing me flower starts, gave me many tips on sewing and brought me one of the best blackberry cobblers I ever ate.
Love & prayers for all her family
My love and heartfelt sympathy for the family. Helen was very special to my family.
