Lucy Adams Hammett, 78 of Conway, Arkansas passed away January 2, 2022. She was born in Mayflower, Arkansas, December 12, 1943. She was an interior decorator and owned numerous businesses over the years. She was survived several hours by her adoring husband, Ollie Hammett, for over 60 years.
Ollie Hammett, 78 of Conway, Arkansas passed away January 2, 2022. He was born in Appleton, Arkansas, June 21, 1943. Ollie was the local barber for over 21 years, he retired due to health reasons, and then he was beside Lucy through all her adventures.
Through thick and thin they were always together. It gives the family some peace knowing that they didn't have to spend any time alone. This bible verse gives the family great comfort: Matthew 19:4-6 God again indicates that when two people enter into marriage for the correct reasons the two become "one flesh". This verse represents our parents love for each other. No marriage is perfect, but from the beginning to the very end they were together.
They are survived by their 4 children Cindi (Pat Wolff) Fairfield Bay, Mike (Denise Hammett) Benton, Julie Davis (Curtis West) Conway, and Adam (Leann Hammett) Conway, 10 grandkids, 14 great grandkids, Lucy's sister, Bettye Starkey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be January 21, 2022 @1:00 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wooster, AR
The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Cindy, Julie, Mike and Adam I am so sorry to hear about Lucy and Ollie. I just found out and so hard to comprehend. I worked with Lucy at Ozark Chemical a long time ago. We somehow fell out of touch throughout the years where life gets in the way. Lucy and Ollie were so funny together.
