Deanna Lee Smith

of West Memphis, AR

April 12, 1963 - January 1, 2022

It is with sadness we announce Deanna ''DeeDee'' Lee Smith gained her Heavenly wings on January 1, 2022. Deanna was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all who crossed her path. She will always be remembered as someone who gave unconditionally to anyone in need.

Deanna was born on April 12, 1963 in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in Earle, Arkansas by parents Ruth and Donald Bolden. In life she loved fishing, camping, and anything outdoors. More than anything, though, she loved her family and spending time with them as much as possible.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Donald Bolden, and sisters Debbie and Donna.

Deanna is survived by her loving husband Ronald Smith, son Vernon ''Bubba'' Max, Jr., daughter Heather L. Max, and grandchildren Zane Max, Justyce Parker, and Jarvis Parker, Jr. She is also survived by many amazing friends.

A memorial will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 11th at 2 pm. Visitation for friends and family will start at 1 pm.

Godmother to my daughter Courtney who was born in 1982. I met her as Squeeky, a teenager full of laughs and sweetness.
A great friend that I could always depend on.
A loving mother who endured many struggles as a young parent, barely taking maternity leave before returning to work. She adored her Heather and Bubba that I watched growing up during my brief visits to town.
A loving sister to Donna and Debbie; both gone too soon.
A devoted grandmother who was there for them when it counted most.
Although we didn’t see each other or talk as much when I moved away in 1990, you were always the one friend I had to visit when I was in town.
I love you girl! I’m so glad I gave you a big hug when I ran into you a short time before Thanksgiving.
I bet you’re having a glorious family reunion with your parents and sisters!
I’m sorry for those of us that are on this earth to be without your presence.
May peace be with them all!
Goodbye my Squeeky!😇
All my love,
Aleitha
