James Alton Hill, age 91, of Poplar Grove, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was born June 2, 1930 in Turner, Arkansas. He was raised by the late Oscar and Essie Slaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Livingston Hill; two grandchildren, Brandon Hill of Milwaukee, WI and Kory Hill of Hot Springs, AR; one great grandchild, Opal Marie Searcy Hill; as well as a special thank you to personal caregivers, Vivian Jones and Margie Wheeler, the nurses from Springs of Avalon and Kindred Hospice.
He is preceded in death by his son, James Allen Hill; parents, Oscar and Essie Slaughter.
A graveside service for Mr. James Hill will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother J.E Hughes will officiate.
