February 15, 1929 - December 10, 2021
Bonnie Lee Webb Gimbel, 92, of Damascus, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 10, 2021. She was born on Friday, February 15, 1929, in Pottsville, Arkansas to the late William H. and Daisy D. (Dollar) Webb, the first of three daughters. She married her husband of nearly 65 years and the love of her life, Robert (Bob) in Sunnyside, Washington on April 10, 1949. A few years later they moved to Damascus, where they purchased a farm and remained the rest of their lives.
She was foremost a loving wife, mother and grandmother/mimi to her family; however, she spent years pouring her love into others as a babysitter in her home, then as a beloved teacher's aide for 19 years at South Side School, Bee Branch, where she had graduated in 1948. She was the oldest active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Guy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Granger Stokenbury; and a sister, Lorene Tucker.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Linda Lindsey (Mickey) of Quitman, Brenda Gay (Dwayne) of Damascus and Laura Ausbrooks of Damascus; granddaughters, Tammy Landry (Doug), Leigh Lynch (John), Kayla Lindsey (Cody Condery), Abbigail Ausbrooks; grandson, Brian Gay (Melanie); great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Lincoln Gay; a sister, Louise Peterson (Harry) of Yakima, Washington; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00AM, Monday, December 13, 2021, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 448 Highway 25N, Guy, Arkansas. Interment will follow in Lloyd Cemetery in Damascus under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International or Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Guy.
