Betty Jo Gibbs, 91, of Jonesboro, AR passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021. She was born June 29, 1930 in Lake City, AR to S.S. ''Beck'' and Ruth Mae Shannon. Betty Jo retired from American Greetings and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Dyess. She enjoyed word puzzles, gardening, and cooking, but nothing more than fishing. She is survived by her son: Ricky ''Mel'' (Kathy) Gibbs of Jonesboro; daughters: Linda Gibbs of Jonesboro, Debra Allred of Jonesboro, Sheila (Steve) Hill of Dyersburg, TN; grandchildren: Paul (Debra) Gibbs, Phillip (Jennifer) Gibbs, Kevin (Stefanie) Gibbs, Matt (Stella) Hill, Andrew (Brittani) Hill, Jessica (Mike) Armenteros; great-grandchildren: Courtine Brumley, Kaden Gibbs, Olivia Gibbs, Millie Gibbs, Sophia Gibbs, Camille Armenteros, Harper Hill, Eden Hill, Ezra Hill, AnnDee Hill and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: George Melvin Gibbs; sisters: Lois Tarlton, Ruby Allred; brothers: S.S. Shannon Jr., Bill Shannon, Doug Shannon. The visitation will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 12:00p.m.-1:00p.m. at Roller-Swift Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00p.m. Interment will be at Louise Chapel Cemetery in Joiner.
