David V. Hopkins passed away on December 5, 2021 at the age of 89. David is survived by his loving wife Joan Hopkins of 69 years and his children, Tracie (Beau) Lindley, Tricia (Rudy) Vasquez and David (Krista) Hopkins Jr., 3 grandchildren, Melissa Knippa, Martin Diegel, Jr. and Griffin Hopkins, and 3 great-grandchildren, Annabelle Knippa and Colton and Casen Diegel, and one sister, Linda Smith .
David retired after 40 years of service with Reynolds Metals Company. He began his career with Reynolds at the Hurricane Creek Plant in Bauxite, AR and then transferred to the Sherwin Alumina Plant in Corpus Christi, TX as Plant Manager. He then promoted to Plant Manager of the Reynolds Plant in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. David spent the last years with Reynolds as the General Manager of Reynolds Worsley Plant in Bunbury, Australia.
He is preceded in death by his parents William Jennings and Auline Hopkins and his sister, Billie June Carson.
David was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton, AR.
After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family at his farm where he raised cattle and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved every minute he spent there.
A private ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

My Dear Joann, I am at a loss for words for you and your family. Your David will be so missed by all who knew and loved him.
