William "Bill" Robert Waites, age 70, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away on November 12, 2021
at his home.
Bill was a veteran of the United States Army. He also worked as a White River Guide for over
30 years, owning his own shop called, "Crawdad Bait and Tackle Shop," which was located in
Flippin. He was an avid duck hunter and loved spending time in the outdoors; he also enjoyed
spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his daughters Angela (Brian) Waites-Waugh and Vanessa Lynn Waites; son
Dakota Barrs; Sister, Rebecca Waites-Green; grandchildren: Veronica Edkins, McKinley
Cantrell and Lennox Barrs; Great Grandchildren: Hasley McGariah, Berkley Anderson and
Ryleigh Anderson.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Betty (Thompson) Waites
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
Arrangements are by Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
I had the honor of being guided by Billy Bob several times on the White River. I'll always remember his patience helping my elderly father get his first and only trophy brown trout. My fishing buddy and I will never stop marveling at how Billy Bob could see trout no one else could. Most of all, I cherish his memory because he was a good man--and if you knew him too, you'll know how high that praise is. My best to his family.
He will be missed… prayers for the family…
