John Boyer, 89, of Aubrey, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at his home. He was born September 7, 1932 to Henry Boyer and Ruby Perry Boyer in Aubrey, Arkansas.
He is survived by one son, Alan Boyer, Somerville, Tennessee, eight grandchildren, Bu Homan, William Boyer (Heather), Veronica Neisler (Danny), Stephanie Menchaca (Ephraim), Cynthia Boyer, John Thomas Simmons, Joseph Simmons, and Jacob Simmons (Yesenia), eight great-grandchildren, Gibson Menchaca, Sophia Menchaca, Emmalyn Boyer, Rhett Neisler, Hudson Menchaca, Grisham Neisler, Wyatt Boyer, and Miles Boyer, one brother, Henry Boyer, three sisters, Carrie Boyer Eddleman, Ann Boyer Stiles, and Doris Boyer Jones, his favorite son-in-law, Kenneth Joe Simmons (Robin).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Boyer, two sons, Johnny Boyer, Sammy Boyer, and one daughter, Sherry Simmons.
He loved duck hunting and going to the Arkansas Razorback Games.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at Memorial Park in Memphis, Tennessee. I have know since I was small kid my Dad James T stone & John were in the National guard Air Force with John My brother Charles stone and I am Frances stone Rankin we love John we Treasure all the memories of John. We love John a lot . He be miss a lot Allen sure did a lot for his Dad in pass few years he did it all Allen great son you say he was there for his dad .may God show memories to us all.

Our deepest condolences to all of John’s family. We met many years ago when John and Henry were on an adventure to Alaska. They stopped for an overnight stay in our small town of St. Walburg, Saskatchewan, Canada. The restaurant at the motel they were staying at didn’t open until 8am and they wanted to be on the road early so I invited them to my house for coffee and bran muffins at 6am. They arrived bright and early and we had a wonderful visit. They were on their way by 7am with 1/2 dozen muffins for the road. The rest, as they say, is history! Their hospitality when we came to Arkansas to visit was 2nd to none. I’ll never forget our drive to the Mississippi River along the levies and John reminding me that “I didn’t have to drive the speed limit, I could slow down†and me replying “John Clinton, you just hang on and hush!†and Henry and my husband Ted in the back seat giggling because I had talked back to John and no one talks back to John! But we were smiling at each other - we were just having fun! I will miss the phone calls and the visits but most of all I will miss my dear friend and John always ending our phone calls with “you take care now Sugar, we love you. “To live in the hearts and memories of those you leave behind is to live forever.†Love you too John.
