Samuel B. Simmons, 75, of West Memphis, Arkansas passed away on November 9, 2021 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hildred and H.D. Simmons and sister, Linda Simmons.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy Simmons; his son, Mark Simmons (Kristy), Scott Simmons (Julie), and Derick Simmons; 5 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 2 step-grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Elizabeth Griffith, Nannie Childress, and Mary Onye; and many nieces and nephews.
The services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Interment is immediately following at Potter's Cemetery.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.

Much love and prayers for all my family members. I have not seen many of you in some years and have never met some of you. Sammy was a very sweet man. I wish I had known him better. I am proud to call Sam Simmons my brother-in law but even more to acknowledge him as my brother-in-Christ. Sam had such a good heart for helping other people. He will be sorely missed. I have prayed for him and his family by name for many years. I won't be praying for him any more because he is in a place of indescribable happiness and joy. God bless you Samuel Simmons and God bless all the Simmons family as they celebrate his life today. I will miss you Sam.
