Anthony Craig Norvell, age 60, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021. He was born November 17, 1960, in Topeka, Kansas, to Roy Dean and Lilly Jo Norvell. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lilly Jo Norvell; and his grandparents, Clifton and Marie Norvell, Murphy McElroy, and Willodean McElroy Sutton.
Anthony was an avid reader and enjoyed reading western novels. In college, he played football for the University of Arkansas as a walk-on. He also enjoyed sports, doing remodeling projects, and spending time with his loved ones. He was also known as a gun enthusiast. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Roy Dean Norvell, of Rogers; his step-mother, Carolyn Norvell, of Fayetteville; one brother, Victor (Rhonda) Norvell of Bentonville; one sister, Kathryn Ann Norvell, of Bella Vista; two uncles, Richard Norvell of Colorado and Ernie McElroy of Harrison; three aunts, Susie (Joel) Keeter of Harrison, and Emma (Terry) Carson and Elaine (Ben) Thompson, all of Fayetteville; and one niece, Chelsea Norvell Hand, of Belle Vista and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside service was Friday, November 5, 2021, at Maplewood Cemetery with Mike Bishop officiating.
Pallbearers were Ernest McElroy, Ty Keeter, Joel Keeter, Houston McElroy, Jeff Sanders, and Jim Massengale.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123.

I'm shocked and saddened to hear of Tony's passing. I knew him back in high school and have such fond memories of him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family for the Lord's peace and comfort.
