Elisabelle Greenhaw

of Harrison, AR

July 18, 1924 - October 27, 2021

Elisabelle Greenhaw, age 97, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 27, 2021, at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. Elisabelle was born on July 18, 1924, in Bass, Arkansas, to Lee and Minerva (McCutcheon) Hamilton. Elisabelle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her granddaughter, Sky Lynn Simmons.

She married Kenneth Greenhaw on July 11, 1942, in Mount Judea, Arkansas, and together they raised two children, Jerry and Linda. She was a proud, faithful, and life-long member of the Bellefonte Church of Christ where she touched the lives of countless friends. Elisabelle lived a rich and full life, touching all those who knew her with her charm, wit, and warm smile. She was a loving homemaker for her family her entire life and had a passion for gardening and bird watching.

Always ingenious, Elisabelle combined her two favorite hobbies and created extraordinary gardens and the birds flocked to them. An avid singer, she loved to share her beautiful voice with many, especially at church. She was also well known for her cooking prowess. Her apple pie and fried pies are legendary. Elisabelle's work ethic was one-of-a-kind as were her determination, kindness, and compassionate spirit, which are forever remembered.

Elisabelle is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Linda Greenhaw, of Harrison; her daughter, Linda Simmons, of Yellville, Arkansas; her grandsons, Mark Greenhaw of Little Rock, Arkansas and Grant Greenhaw and his wife Rebecca and their two daughters, Samantha and Kenna, of Flippin, Arkansas.

Graveside service was held Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison, Arkansas, with James Dickey, Ray Crawford, and Jerry Greenhaw officiating.

Always cheerful and loving when we were able to visit. Reminded me of her mother so much. God has a mansion waiting for her. A beautiful flower for the masters bouquet.

Will cherish many memories. From picking her up for church when Jerry and Linda were OT, eating at her table, sharing onion rings at Hillcrest and especially her reminding me she was 79 not 97. So love the Greenhaw family

She was such a special lady. Her smile would light up the room. In the past few years she would hug me and tell me how much I looked like my mother. They were best of friends. I know I made her miss her long time friend that had gone on into eternity. Jerry, Linda, and Linda you did such a great job taking care of her. Mark and Grant you were there for her always.
Sincerely,
Sandy Lair
