Jimmy Dallas Young, Sr., age 83, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021. He was born July 25, 1938 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Dallas and Matilda Nicholas Young. Mr. Jimmy was a member of Barton Baptist Church and the NRA. He served in the Army National Guard for nine years and enjoyed hunting, watching Arkansas football and especially loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two sons, Jimmy Dallas Young, Jr., of Lexa and Jason Bruce Young (Katie) of Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter, Jeanne Young (Rickey) of Round Lake, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Mallory Turner, Stephen Young, Hannah Young and Jackson Young; two great grandchildren, Kaylynn Ford and Kimberly Young; two brothers, Eugene Young (Shirley) and Ned Young (Norma) both of Lexa; six special nephews, Tommy Young, Danny Young, Clay Young, Will Young, Mickey Young, and Ken Gentry; one very special niece, Marianne Cario; a special friend, Anna Mae Cooke; an extra daughter, Mo; a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Judy Young; parents, Dallas and Matilda Young; daughter, June Young; brother, R.J. Young; and sister, Shine Thompson.
A funeral service for Mr. Jimmy Dallas Young, Sr., will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Roller-Citizens chapel. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens chapel as well. Burial to follow to Young Family Cemetery, County road 101, highway 316 north in Lexa, Arkansas. Brother Joe Garner will officiate.
Pallbearers are Tommy Young, Danny Young, Clay Young, Will Young, Mickey Young, Cole Young, Ken Gentry, and Bo Sands.
Honorary pallbearers are Joe Tom Cunningham, Gilbert Ray, Bryce Long, Bill Kelley, Buddy Ray, Dee Sands, Blackie Jumper, Keith Evans, and Tommy Gregory.

We am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was a wonderful friend and classmate of 1957 . Our prayers are with all the family as they go through this loss. He will be truly missed.
