March 22, 1948 - September 6, 2021
Bobby 'Bob' Charles Abrams, 73, of Greenbrier, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 6, 2021, after a brief battle with leukemia.
He was born March 22, 1948, in Deming NM, the son of the late Willie Abrams and Carrie Abrams Cardin.
Bob was a long-time member of Springhill Baptist Church and a Retired Union Carpenter and Cattle Farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
One of his greatest achievements was learning sign language to communicate with his deaf daughters and families.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob was preceded in death by parents and one sister, Wilma Bennings.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Bettizelle Abrams, 2 daughters, Christie Abrams and husband, Jonathan Gay of AZ and Stacy Abrams and husband, Eddie King of MD, 4 grandchildren, Zoe Abrams-Gay, Rue Abrams-Gay, Coffey King and Mattea King, brother, B.J. Abrams and wife, Tommie of Greenbrier, 2 nieces, Betty Hamm and Jody Havens and extended family and an abundance of friends.
Graveside Service will be at 10am Saturday, September 11 at McNew Cemetery in Greenbrier, with Bro. Ed Stephenson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in Bob's memory to Arkansas School for the Deaf Foundation 2400 W. Markham St. Little Rock, AR 72205 or McNew Cemetery P.O. Box 124 Greenbrier, AR 72058.
Bob once poked in my stomach and said, "Pillsbury" - I was amused, not offended. That's how sweet he was. Will miss his presence. Godspeed, Bob.
Sincere condolences for all the family. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.
I just read about Bob’s passing in Sunday’s paper. Betty, I am so sorry for your loss. I am keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
My condolences to you and your family. He lives a great life did great things . Even though I didn’t know him very well he came to some of the events that his daughter worked at that’s where I met him. He was such a great man to interact in everything learned to sign for his daughters and be always there if you needed anything . You will be missed and will always be in the hearts of everyone who knew you .

Betti, your family has always had a special place in my heart, and it is breaking right now. I am so very very sorry. God has a plan, and we each have a role in His plan. It is not to question or to even understand, just to believe and to have faith. Rest in Peace Bobby Charles. You will be missed by all. With love, Kathy
Sorry to hear of your loss. Stay strong.
Your marriage with Bob, like your Mom and Dads, exemplify all that is good in Christian families. Praying for peace and strength for you and the girls as you celebrate Bobs life and journey to his Heavenly Home.
I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. No words can take away your pain. Just know I will be holding you all up in prayer and thought. May the God of Peace and Mercy sustain you through the difficult days.
I am grateful that the Good Lord gives us a mind that is able to hold sweet memories, that is a true blessing.
Much love to you all.
Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt blessings to Betty, girls and families. Am remembering numerous get togethers and visits that brought out Bob's sense of humor but also remembering his extraordinary work ethic and commitment to family and farm. Bob's reunion with his heavenly family will be joyous and his earthly family can rest knowing that he is with His Father.

Heartfelt condolence to the Abrams family. An admiration for Bob, as a hearing father, using ASL with her children, in-laws and grandchildren is a tribute to who he is. With love, Jodee
My heart is sadden for you Bettizelle, along with your girls and their families. I was thinking back on how long I had known Bob. Bob's family lived across the road from my Grandparents, but guess I was about 5 or 6 when I actually recall knowing the Abrams' family. I remember how BJ & Bob were workers around the place and took care of it. He's not only going to be missed terribly by his family & friends, but also the community in which he grew up. May God put His loving arms around all of you during this time. Love you Bettizelle, and so sorry on the loss of your best friend/husband. Prayers for all of you!
We are praying for you and your family. May God give you peace and comfort. We love you!

It is so very true that, "Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him." One of my fondest memories is of Ronnie and Bob laughing and talking after church as we sometimes finally got in our cars to wait. I'm still not sure what all they had to talk about, but they enjoyed a long friendship. Love to all of your family.

May the Lord bless with comfort only He can give.
We extend our deepest sympathies to all the family. With our prayers, for all.
Bob, godspeed! The guy who once poked in my tummy and said, "Pillsbury!" and yet allowed me to use profane words in the Abrams House. From my heart, you'll always be missed. Thanks for embracing me as one of your own when I visited your daughters who were my closest friends at Gallaudet University as well as Betty. I was hoping that I'd see you and Betty before time does its calling but that was not to be. And I'll never forget you, Bob. We have something in common - my real name is Ricky, not Richard. Your real name is Bobby, not Rorbert. Rest easy and I'll see you someday. Bob, just look at your daughters - you did do a magnificent job as a hearing father and I salute you.
