JC Winningham, 83, of Damascus, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2021. Mr. Winningham was born on Sunday, July 24, 1938 in Damascus, Arkansas to the late Pete and Oma Winningham.
JC served in the United States Air Force and retired from the ABF Trucking Company, and was a member of the Teamsters' Union.
Mr. Winningham is survived by his loving wife; Wilma Winningham, three sons; Michael Winningham, Mark Winningham, Frank Winningham, two daughters; Cheryl Nesler (Nick) of Beebe, Joy Shelley (Jon) of Greenbrier, his beloved granddaughters; Avery and Mackenzie; one brother, Billy Winningham of Elysian Fields, Texas and one sister; Kay Clifton, of Conway, Arkansas.
JC was preceded in death by his parents, wife Louise; with whom he had five children and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sons; Herschel and JC Winningham, Jr.
Visitation for JC Winningham will be 10 A.M. Friday, August 6, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Damascus, Arkansas. Funeral Services will begin at 11 A.M. Internment will follow at Bee Branch Cemetery. Brother Daniel Williams will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be John Clifton, Kevin Clifton, Page Rhodes, Gavin Rhodes, Jonathan Shelley, Nicholas Nesler, Ron May, and David Schofner.

I am so sorry that I am just now writing this--I only now heard of JC's passing. Wilma and family-please know that I think of JC often in a loving and "grateful to have known him" heart. My mother always referred to him as "her most favoritte cousin" . JC could always make me laugh and leave with a smile on my face. Im so sorry for your loss, I know you loved him deeply. Wilma I am so sorry for your loss, I lost touch with you guys since I quit driving for Vilonia..He was a great guy, always had something going on.. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear about JC. I always enjoyed talking to him when I worked and when I saw him out somewhere. You would usually be laughing before he left. Sending prayers to the family, I know you will miss him!
Dad this is Mike your son I just wanted to let you know that you had a long life and I'm glad and honored but I'm your son and I was part of it I couldn't ask for a better father you talk me a many many things when I was a young man that's 9 years old you told me how to make my first daughter I'll never forget that but besides all that then I just want you to know that I hope you're up there in heaven fishing with your family and rejoice in the Lord I hope to see you again soon I love you and I'll be thinking of you Michael
