February 26, 1991 - July 21, 2021
Jacob Henry Edgin, 30, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 21, 2021. He was born February 26, 1991 in Forrest City, Arkansas.
Jake is survived by his wife, Holly Beth Edgin; two children, Sophie and Elise Edgin of Mountain Home; his parents, Henry Herman Edgin Jr. and wife Allison of Palestine; Kathy Ann (Parker) Jones and husband Donald of Harrisburg; grandparents Henry Herman Sr. and Patsy Marvella Edgin of Marianna; Mary Ann Parker of Marianna; siblings, Ashley (Harry) Hatton, Andrew (Autumn) Edgin, George Parker Jones, Henry Jones, Zack Edgin, and Kylie and Kelsey Howton; aunts and uncles Ruth (Glenn) Carter; Russ (Paula) Parker and Keith (Kristen) Parker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
Jake was preceded in death by his grandfather, George William Parker of Marianna.
He was a graduate of Arkansas State University of Mountain Home. He enjoyed many of life's simple pleasures like being outdoors, fishing, and he really enjoyed small engine mechanics. He could fix essentially anything he touched, usually on the first try. More than anything, Jake loved to fly! He was a student pilot with many logged hours, and he even completed a solo training flight a couple of years ago. He hoped to one day obtain his CFI license and then move on to commercial. He also deeply loved music, primarily guitar and piano, and has passed that love down to his daughters.
Jake was a loving and hard-working husband and the most amazing father to his daughters. He was a gentle, kind, and compassionate young man with the heart of a servant. Jake married his wife, Holly, on December 13, 2014 in Mountain Home shortly after moving to the Ozarks. They built a beautiful life together. They became members of First Christian Church where their daughters were dedicated to the Lord; Jake was baptized alongside Holly in 2016 in their home church. He was loved by many people both locally and from his hometown of Marianna and he will forever be missed. We can continue to honor his legacy by living our life to the fullest, and the memory of him will live on in our hearts.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at First Christian Church (Resurrection Church) in Mountain Home, AR followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Baxter Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Roller Funeral Home. Please visit our online guestbook at rollerfuneralhomes.com.
