Majel Wayne Evans, Sr., 81, of Little Rock, Arkansas was called home on April 26, 2021. He was born on August 9, 1939 in Quitman, Arkansas to Willie Floyd and Leatha Evans.
Majel drove a truck for most of his life and retired in 2001. He enjoyed driving and there were many times he would return from a trip and mom would have all of us kids packed up for him to turn right around and head out again on a vacation or camping trip.
He loved staying busy and working with his hands. If he wasn't out building something in the shop then he was out somewhere making repairs for someone. If he couldn't fix it, it was truly broken!
The animals! Oh, the animals! He loved tending to and spoiling the animals chickens, ducks, turkeys, dogs and cats (and whatever else happened to come into the yard).
There is no doubt that anyone that met him LOVED him and he was, indeed, a great man who was truly loved by all.
Mom had been patiently waiting for him since 2007 and now the wait is over. They will wait patiently for the rest of the family together, side by side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 47 years, Linda Evans; brother, Roland Evans; sisters, Bonnie Walter; and Connie Baker. Majel is survived by sons, Majel Evans, Jr. (Jody); Steven Evans (Sheri); daughter, Tonya Bell (Jack); grandchildren, Heather Moore (J.B.), Jessica Evans; Gunner Evans; Maddux Bell; great grandchildren, Cameron; Jawan; Alexus; and Liza Evans; brothers, Gene Evans (Joan); Jimmy Evans (June); sister, Janice Wilson; and sister-in-law, Laura Evans. He also leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Center Point General Baptist Cemetery, 1325 Rosebud Road, Quitman, Arkansas 72131
The family will receive guest from 10-11 am, Monday, May 3, 2021, at Roller Drummond Funeral Home, with the funeral service starting at 11 am in the chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm at Centerpoint Cemetery in Quitman, Arkansas.

He was definitely on of the nicest and coolest men I've had the pleasure of knowing. I'll never forget going to their house in the early 80s ,playing in the yard,then hearing a lot of crazy screaming coming from the house,me running inside to see what was the matter and it turing out to be everyone yelling for the Razorbacks! So sorry to here about Majel, didn’t know he was sick or anything and was surprised to hear of his passing. I called him occasionally to see how he was doing and wish I would have called him more. I have made a lot of trips with him at A B F and was always glad to hear he was going with me again. A good man and a true friend and will miss him. I think of all of our time we spent at the lake together with Aunt Joyce, Uncle Ronnie, Ronnie Lynn, David, Nicky. Those were some of the best times. Majel Sr. always took us to Sugarloaf Mountain. We didn’t have a care in the world.

and her Mother would not let her go unless she double dated. Make a long story short,

Uncle Majel will be greatly missed. He was a great uncle and some of my best memories growing up are when our families were together. Those camping trips to the lake were so much fun as well as those vacations we were able to take together. Tonya I will never forget that vacation when you wanted to blow dry my long hair and it got caught up in the blow dryer motor!! Between Uncle Majel and my daddy they were able to get it out without much damage but their reactions were priceless as it was smoking!! I know in my heart that not only was Aunt Linda there waiting for him but daddy (Roland) was too!
