Nicole Inman

of Benton, AR

March 20, 1976 - December 5, 2020

Nicole Michele Inman took her last earthly breath on December 5, 2020 and took her first breath in the presence of Jesus. She was surrounded by family and friends.

Nicole was born on March 20, 1976 in Kansas City, Kansas, but grew up in Minnesota. She was the third of six children and the oldest girl. She served as her mother's helper to her youngest siblings and was always the leader of the gang. Nicole loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. She became a Christian at the age of 5 as an imperfect follower of Christ. She attended Christian school from grades K-6 and was an excellent student. She took piano for more than 10 years and was a gifted pianist winning the state title two years in a row. Spurred on to play soccer as a freshman in high school, Nicole became an instant starter on her high school team because of her speed and toughness. Nicole graduated from Wayzata High School in Plymouth, Minnesota. She went to college at Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois to study communications and play college soccer. She finished her college with a Spanish and communication major. Nicole met her husband, Scott, while in Quincy. Scott was a TV Sports anchor, and Nicole was a TV weather anchor. Nicole and Scott were married in 1999, and moved to Little Rock, where they raised four children. Nicole had three passions in life: her faith, her family, and soccer. And she most often wove all three together as she invested her time, energy, and love into those around her. She was her children's soccer coach from the time they were barely old enough to walk. She spent nearly a decade as a church youth director, and after that, continued be a student leader at her church. She studied and led small groups through Bible Study Fellowship. Nicole's success as a club soccer coach gave her the opportunity to become a high school coach in 2017. In her first season, she led her Bryant Lady Hornets to a state championship appearance, where they lost in overtime. The next season, the ladies returned to the state championship game and won. Nicole coached them that season while taking chemotherapy for brain cancer. Nicole's family will miss her dearly, but they rejoice in knowing she is no longer suffering and is with her Savior.

She is survived by her husband, Scott, four children, Garrett, Ashton, Abbey, and Nathan of Benton, Arkansas, her parents, Roger and Mary Peterson of Plymouth, Minnesota, her siblings, Erik Peterson (Cindy) of Tampa, Florida, Joshua Peterson (Rosy) of Wisconsin, Michael Peterson (Stephanie) of Chaska, Minnesota, Andrew Peterson (Megan) of Chanhassen, Minnesota, Alissa Johns (Randy) of Marble Falls, Texas.
She is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews: Landon, John Luther, Hadassah, Dawson, Rylan, Titus, Siena, Sophia, Mariana, Griffin, Kinsley, Savannah, Charlotte, Alexis, and Ethan, godmother Carol Kraemer, and many wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.

A celebration service to honor her homecoming will be held at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 1:00 pm.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor service attendance to 500 people at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. All attendees must provide and wear their own face coverings before entering.

Hello, I did not have the pleasure of knowing Nicole, but now it seems we are part of a different family. My sister, Nancy Lauler, mother of Jamie Lauler who knew Nicole in high school sent this to me yesterday. Two of my daughters and some of the grandchildren had just returned from the NJ Shore honoring my eldest daughter’s birthday. Her name is/was Dawne Hausman. Dawne resembled Nicole in life - and she departed this earth September 2, 2016 as a result of brain cancer, GBM. She was 51. She was only given 3 months before leaving her 3 incredible children and a larger loving family behind. She coached soccer up to the day before she entered the hospital. Yesterday, we honored her December 12th birthday as we do each year leaving pink roses and a prayer at landmarks of her Baptism, younger self and the ocean she loved. Yesterday we each tossed a pink rose in the ocean and each let a pink ballon go into the sky. Some years The tribute varies, , but there is always the pink rose trail. My heart goes out to all of you. Photos, memories, a place in our gardens, sharing feelings and ... watching her 3 children becoming all she wanted them to be..... helps hold our hearts. I hope Nicole comes to all of you in your dreams.

Dee and I remember so well Nicole’s influence on the youth she served at Henderson Methodist Church. Our son was one of them. It does not make sense that a person who gave so much could have a shortened life, but Nicole understood that quandary of life much better than so many including this writer. Nicole was a special spiritual woman. Her legacy moves forward with the many she influenced. Her beautiful children are among those who will carry her memory forward. I for one wish I had spent more time and effort with her. But I will not forget her. Dee and I send our love and prayers.

Praying for you all at this time. Nicole was a beautiful woman inside and out. I didn't know her well but I could see she was a strong believer, full of faith and a true hope warrior. when times are tough I think of Nicole and how she stayed positive, and shined with the love of Jesus thru the good and bad times. She will always be a true role model to me of how to live life to the fullest being a true disciple for the Lord.

Thoughts and prayers to the Petersons, Inmans and theIr entire extended families. I had the opportunity to coach Nicole at Wayzata High School for 4 years. She left her mark on our program as a player and in my heart as a person. May we all have comfort in knowing she is now pain free and seated with the Lord our God in heaven probably coaching a soccer game. She will always be remembered and never forgotten! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

She was my favorite babysitter growing up, the gold standard. No one ever measured up after she moved on. Always had her bag of tricks(games, toys, treats) and was bright, cheerful and warm. We loved it when our parents went out because we knew Nikki-Nicole was coming over! She was an angel even before she passed.

Nicole babysat for me and my siblings. She was only a year older than me, but even then my parents could see that (unlike me) she was composed and responsible, and when they conferred her with the title of babysitter, she was definitely in charge. She exuded kindness and joy, and we always begged our parents to have her babysit us - "Please, please call Nikki Nicole!" I didn't have an older sibling, but she made me wish I did. 30 years later, I've forgotten a lot of my youth, but I can still remember the invented games we played and how much we laughed.
