of Trumann, AR
September 4, 1944 - November 3, 2020
Joseph ''Joe'' Earl Ussery, 76, of Trumann, was called Home to be with the Lord on Nov. 3, 2020 with his daughter at his side. He was born Sep. 4, 1944 in Conway, Ark. to the late Joseph Chester and Fanny Belle (Gentry) Ussery. Joe was a retired Supervisor at Baldwin Piano and Organ where he worked for 45 years. He was a fun and loving husband, Daddy, and Poppa Joe. He was an involved member of Central Baptist Church and a faithful man of God.
During his retirement, Joe loved deer hunting and wood working. He always kept busy doing a project with wood whether making a cutting board for his wife or a dresser for his daughter and granddaughters.
Joe is survived by Reba, his wife of 55 years, daughter Laurie, son Joseph (Jody), daughter-in-law Amy, grandchildren Rachel and Anna Claire, sister Margaret Rohr, a host of nieces and nephews, and the hundreds of friends and family members whose lives he touched.
A Graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Quitman on Tuesday November 10, 2020 at 2:00PM.
The family asks that anyone who attends the service please wear masks and use social distancing procedures.
Sorry for your loss.
Best father-in-law and Poppa ever. Joe will be missed by so many! I loved you like you were my dad for 25 years. Thank you for leaving your family and especially your grandkids with such good memories. Singing “I’ll Fly Away†at the top of your lungs, reading Dr Seuss books whenever Anna wanted you to, buying Rachel and Anna whatever snacks and Icees they wanted when driving to church camp, making silly videos with them, showing them an example of a good Christian man. I could go on and on. I miss you so much already. Love you Poppa Joe!

Losing a nephew was a hard thing to accept.
Go rest high on the mountain, Joe. We will miss you.
To all the family and friends of Joe Ussery, My thoughts and prayers are with you. We know that God's promises of being re-united gives us hope during times like this but our human nature feels the pain of our loss. Hold on to the promise's of God.
Joe was a part of my childhood. His home was only about 300 yards from my home. Although he was much older than me and we did not socialize much, there was one day that he always walked down to my home and brought me a gift. We shared the same birthday and every year he took the time to do something special just for me. I'm sure his mother helped him but it didn't matter to me because that one day was special.
The last few years, when Joe and Reba came to the Ussery home place, so Joe could hunt. My husband and I were blessed to visit with them and rekindle their friendship. Wayne and I will treasure those small moments in time, where our hearts touched.
Reba, you are in our prayers for your health and your spiritual l health.
Reba, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Much love and prayers for you and your family. May God give you comfort and strength in the days ahead. We Love you, Patricia

I have such fond memories of Uncle Joe when we lived on the farm near y’all. When I go back to Quitman, I stop and get the children Chick-O-Sticks and look for y’all’s house. I will truly miss Uncle Joe, and am so thankful we will see him again in heaven. Praying love and comfort for all of you.
Reba so sorry for your loss.
