Norman F. Barnes Sr., 81, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, August 04, 2020 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born Wednesday, August 10, 1938 to Joseph Henry Barnes Sr. and Ettie Pyron Barnes.
He loved to watch westerns, and loved his grandkids. He was a proud member of the US Navy. He retired after thirty years and fought in the Vietnam War. He was awarded two bronze stars.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Thomas Barnes, Joe Barnes Jr., six sisters, Pauline Williams, Inez Wilson, Genelle Degunion, Minnie Belle Nichols, Shirley Pruitt and Sue Smith.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Joyce Barnes, of the home, one son, Norman F. Barnes Jr. (Betsy), of Wynne, Arkansas, one daughter, Paula Kay Christensen, (Brad), of Lavergne, Tennessee, five grandchildren, Barry Easley Jr., Cody Easley, Lance Easley, Samantha Barnes, Whitney Barnes, three great-grandchildren, Barry Easley III, Aaron Easley, Mira Easley, two sisters, Carolyn Webb (Tiny), of Marianna, Arkansas, Georgia Johnston (Johnny), of Lexa, Arkansas , and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas.

We are sorry for yall loss
you all are in our hearts and prayers. We have a lot of precious memories with all of you, wish we had a few more years with Norman but God decided he wanted him home.
