Rita Lois Murchison,70 of England died Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in Little Rock, Arkansas.Rita was born on August 23, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to Earnest and Imogene Basham.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of England. She was a former Executive Director of the England Housing Authority from 1985-1988. She was a Real Estate Agent for REMAX Realtors for 20 years. Rita was a civic minded soul belonging to England Chamber of Commerce, Jayceettes and several other clubs. She liked to golf, cook, and garden in her flower beds.
Preceding her in death are her parents, a daughter, a son, three brothers and one sister.
Rita is survived by her husband of 43 years, Thomas O. Murchison, Jr. of England, two sons: Russ Martin (Jane) of San Francisco, California, Thomas O. Murchison, III (Catherine) of Cabot, Arkansas, one daughter: Dawn Tomescko (John) of Bentonville, Arkansas; two grandsons: John Thomas and Steel Tomescko also of Bentonville.
Graveside services will be held in the Tomberlin Cemetery on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. by Dr. Rodger Murchison.
Cremation arrangements are through Roller England Funeral Home (501) 842-3939.
CDC guidelines will be observed with regard to social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made in her honor to:
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105-1942.

So sorry to the entire family for Rita's loss.
I did not know & for years have driven by thinking I'm gonna stop by & say hi, to you, Lady! You were a breath of fresh air. First time meeting you, I did not want to like you bc...u know and I couldn't help myself! A blessing....., that you were, Rita Murchison. When I would see you, only happy faces all around. A joy, for sure!

Aunt Rita was such a beautiful lady inside and out. I have so many wonderful memories of her and she will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
