Alma Maxine Miles, 84, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at home with her family at her side. Maxine was born in Egypt, Arkansas October 3, 1935 to Fredrick Merrell and Sara Jane Chadwick Merrell.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Anna Marie Miles, two sisters, Nova Headrick and Anna Merrell, four brothers, James David Brown, Earl Leon Brown, Charles Merrell and John Merrell.
Maxine is survived by her husband of 66 years, William H. Miles; one son Bill Miles (Kim) of Marianna, two daughters, Elaine Kirkpatrick (Joe) of Cleveland, Tennessee and Pam Williams (Bobby) of Marianna; seven grandchildren, Joe Kirkpatrick III (Lenora), Ashley Douglas (Ryan), Susan Thompson, Lori Richardson (Brandon) Heather Fulton (Jonathan), Carrie Miles, Merrell Westerman (Chris); and 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Vera Gilchrist of Wynne, Arkansas, Pansy Smith of Inola, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Church in Marianna, AR Hwy. 1 South. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 also at the church.
Burial will Follow at Marianna Memorial Park. Hwy. 79 West.
I’m sorry for the loss of a great woman. I had no idea she had passed. Deepest condolences to Bill, Pam, Bill JR, Elaine, Susan, and the entire family.
