I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Jerry Jarvis. I know that I am not the only one who shares in the thought that Mr. Jarvis was steadfast in his beliefs and wanted to live a life as God would have him to live. I often think of talks with him and how no matter what we were talking about, the conversation always led to something mentioned in the Bible. Jerry certainly challenged me to brush up on my Bible understanding. In fact, things that Jerry mentioned almost always made me want to read more in the Bible so as to have a clearer meaning than I thought I already had. Aside from his strong beliefs, he also had a great sense of humor and loved to joke. I will miss Jerry, his jokes, his strong beliefs and of course, his egg sandwiches. My heart is heavy for the Jarvis family and I pray that they will find true peace in his passing. Jerry loved his family and I pray too that they will continue the strong love that he and Miss Charlotte has worked all their lives to build, grow and sustain. May God bless each of the Jarvis family during this difficult time. Jerry is in pain no more and I am hope that his many family members and friends can take comfort in the fact that he is now with the One, whom he so devoutly believed in all his life! Rest in peace, my friend!
