of Mabelvale, AR
November 18, 1935 - August 2, 2018
Gerald ''Gerry'' David Peel, Sr. age 82 of Mabelvale, Arkansas entered that eternal waiting place from his home on Thursday, August 2, 2018 surrounded by his wife and church family. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 18, 1935 to his late parents, Harold Raymond and Icie B Davenport Peel. Gerry was a faithful member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ and was a veteran of the United States Marines. Gerry was a prankster and jokester, but most importantly, he loved his family and the Lord Jesus Christ as evident in his writing on January 9, 2014.
''A Better Place''….. ''There's a place I've never seen beyond this world we know, a place I've only heard of but someday hope to go. It's not on any map. There are no roads to take me there, but it's a place of perfect peace, where hearts are free from care. And though I understand some may be saddened when I leave, one day we all will meet again. That's what I believe.''
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Elizabeth Sanchez Peel; 1 son, David Peel (Christina) of Kansas City, MO; 2 daughters, Tamara Peel Ritter of Colorado and Melanie Mestas (Larry) of Ketchikan, Alaska; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews; 3 great-great nieces and nephews; mother in law, Josefa ''Mama'' Sanchez; best friend, Ronnie Rinkenbaugh (Janet) of Kansas City, MO and his beloved animals. He is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Horner and her husband Weldon; father in law, Louis Sanchez, Sr. and brother in law, Louis Sanchez, Jr.

So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
Dear Liz,
I just learned about Gerry's passing. Our deepest sympathy and love to you and the whole family. May he rest in peace.
Much love,

Elizabeth . . .
I am so saddened to learn of Gerry's passing. I've never forgotten that you and Gerry were the first to arrive at the then Southwest Hospital when Mom was taken there, and what a comfort you both were to me then and after her passing so many years ago (ironically, also on an August 2 in 1992). May Gerry's professed faith in the knowledge you will be reunited in that "Better Place" be a source of strength and comfort in the days ahead for you and your families.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It was always Gerry & you...or you & Gerry. You both displayed a love for each other that didn't require words. I'm glad I was able to meet Gerry and learn he is an animal lover just like me.
You will be missed
You and your family are in our prayers
I worked with Mr. Peel about 30+ years ago at Chilton Accounts Receivable Management. I was one of the data entry / secretaries there. He was a very nice man and he will surely be missed. I have never forgotten him as he was one of my first bosses. God bless you all at this sad time. He is in my thoughts and prayers.
Liz--my deepest sympathies for Gerry's passing. There has never been a better man that I have been able to care for. All of my present and past staff members will truly miss him. Ed Passini
Elizabeth: Our prayers are with you, the girls, and the whole family in your loss.
