Stephen Lee Brewer, 57, passed away on April 7, 2018, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Corey Lyn Brewer. Steve is survived by his parents, LH and Dorothy Brewer; his brother, David Wayne Brewer (Sandy); his sister, Cindy Denise Migliore (Mike); his 5 nieces and nephews, Lindsey Hensley (Josh), Kelsey Migliore, Alex Smith (Todd), Cody Migliore, and Reese Brewer; and his 2 great nieces, Madilynn and Lyla Smith. Steve was a Christmas baby, who developed into a star athlete with natural talent. From pee-wee to high school sports, he was able to play any position well. He quickly developed leadership qualities that allowed him to successfully lead his teams. This included becoming captain of his high school football team, wherein he mainly played the nose guard and offensive guard positions. While playing football, he soon was given the nickname ''headhunter'' by his coaches. In baseball, he was a stellar catcher, as well as a great hitter. In basketball, he played guard. Steve grew up under the coaching leadership of his Dad, in sports such as football and boxing. Steve was a very powerful and strategic athlete, who received much recognition and many awards. He went on to coach SYS football. He also loved recreational sports, such as horseshoes, golf, water skiing, racing go-carts, hunting, riding ATV's, and going to the beach. He was also known as a great dancer and won many dance contests. He enjoyed watching Western movies, along with investigative t.v. shows. He loved music, cars, eating good food, and just having a good time. As an adult, Steve developed and practiced the trade of welding. Steve, a/k/a ''Tank'', had a great sense of humor and dearly loved his family and friends.

Steve was saved at church youth camp and baptized in the lake at approximately 13 years of age. He received the baptism of the Holy Spirit shortly thereafter at the altar of his home church, Whitten Heights Church of God. Steve helped everyone in any way that he could. His greatest love in life was his daughter, Corey, whom he tragically lost just six months earlier. This completely broke his heart. Steve overcame difficult obstacles in his life and did not sweat the ''small things''. His greatest desire was for everyone to live in harmony, and ultimately do God's will. Just recently, Steve successfully completed a Christian discipleship program through Calvary Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He fulfilled God's ultimate plan for his life by completely serving others while strengthening his faith in God. With God's help, Steve completely turned his life around and selflessly lived a life of service and love to others and God. Steve leaves a great testimony and legacy to the power of prayer and faith in God. Steve's heart is no longer broken.
