Darrell Y Henderson

of England, AR

January 1, 1939 - May 6, 2017

Darrell Y. Henderson, 78, of England, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Saturday May 6, 2017. He was born in Pettus, Arkansas to C.P. and Aubrey Lee Henderson on January 1, 1939.

Darrell was married to his high school sweetheart, Bobbie Lynn Adams for 57 years. As a member of First Baptist Church in England, he always led his family as a follower of Christ. He was forever involved in his three son's lives, even from the beginning. He was President of the school board at the school they attended, England Academy.

Darrell was known for his co-ownership of Dean-Henderson Equipment and his involvement with Mid-South Farm Equipment Association. He was an avid hunter as a member of the Duck Bowl Hunting Club. Darrell got the majority of his enjoyment from making others laugh. He made it a personal goal to make everyone he came in contact with laugh, and more often than not, he was successful. He loved watching his grand kids and great-grand kids in all of their activities. He will forever be known as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law, Bettye and Bob Frizzell.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie, one brother; Ronnie Henderson (Susan), three sons; Dee Henderson (Shelley), Adam Henderson (Robyn) and Matt Henderson (Wendy), eight grand children; Tyler Henderson (Michelle), Nick Hillis (Haley), KK Hillis, Hayden Henderson, Travis Henderson, Hannah Glover, Logan Glover and Rebecca Glover, three great-grandchildren; Madisyn Henderson, Case Henderson and Jace Hillis along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services for Darrell will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church with visitation one hour before at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Mulberry Cemetery in England, Arkansas. Services are being handled by Roller England Funeral Home (501) 842-3939.

Family request memorials to be made to First Baptist Church of England 201 E. Haywood Street England, Arkansas 72046.

My prayers to you all in the passing of Mr Darrell. He was always ready with a joke, and certainly brightened Dad's days during his illness. Praying God's healing and grace during the days, weeks, and months ahead. May sweet memories help heal the heartache of today.

I was terribly saddened to hear of Darrell's passing. I so enjoyed his great wit and dry humor at family gatherings. He could make me laugh at any situation, and had the best stories. He is very loved and will be greatly miss. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. All my love.

Bobbie & Family,
Our class reunions will never be the same without him. Darrell was so special to all of us, especially those of us who had known him all our lives. He was truly one of a kind and the best at everything he did. The minute he entered the room, it lit up with his laughter and fun. He was just a joy to be around. There'll never be another Darrell and he'll always be loved, remembered, and missed. Our love and condolences to all of you and everyone who loved him as we did.
