of Keo, AR
January 24, 1940 - December 19, 2016
Lewis Dean Morris, Jr., 76, of Keo, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Monday, December 19, 2016. He was born January 24, 1940 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Lewis Dean Morris, Sr. and Annie Mae Benson Morris.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Collins. He is survived by his wife Misti Morris; two sons: Lewis Dean Morris, III (Beverly) of Little Rock and Joel Morris (Theresa) of Medford, Oregon; one daughter: Terrie Collins (Tim) of Keo; four grandchildren: Tiffany Adams, Chris Collins, Jeremy Collins, and Jennifer Hogan; and six great-grandchildren along with numerous cousins, friends, and extended family.
Dean came from a farm family and began to collect primitive antiques to pass the time on rainy days. This venture grew into a full-time business known as Morris Antiques. Dean turned ''the shop'' into one of America's finest antique showrooms. His passion for antiques allowed him to see the world and enjoy his days in Keo refinishing furniture and creating woodcarvings. He was an active lifetime member of Keo United Methodist Church and a secret angel to many.
A celebration of life will be held at the Keo United Methodist Church Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Roller England Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 27 at 1 p.m.
The family asked that memorials be made to the Union Rescue Mission, 2921 Confederate Blvd., Little Rock, Arkansas 72206; Open Arms Shelter, 1500 Navajo Trail, Lonoke, Arkansas 72086; the Keo United Methodist Church, PO Box 9, Keo, Arkansas 72083 and CASA of Lonoke County, 119 Front St., Lonoke, Arkansas, 72086.
