Mark Stephen DeClerk of Wright, Arkansas lost his battle with cancer and went to be with his Heavenly father, July 21, 2016. He was at home surrounded by friends. Mark was born April 17, 1961 in Little Rock and grew up in the surrounding areas.
Mark loved nature and being outdoors. He had many hobbies, hunting, fishing,metal detecting for treasures, digging roots and herbs, exploring caves, drawing, playing harmonica and many more talents too numerous to list. His favorite hobby was fishing with his friends.
Mark worked at many places during his life: Waste Management, surveying, tree trimming, house leveling, mechanic, carpenter, and landscaping. He loved life and God, and all his friends. He was a kind and compassionate person who tried to help everyone. He will be
greatly missed by the community and all that knew him.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a son: Joey DeClerk; a daughter: Christina DeClerk; two grandchildren; a host of friends, and his faithful dog, Buddy, and his caregivers: Kristina Clark and Kathy Lemons.
Memorial services will be Friday, July 29th, 2016 at 10:00 A. M. at Plum Bayou Baptist Church in Wright, Arkansas. For more info call: 501-285-0392 or 501-366-7960.
This is indeed very sad news. Mark was a great guy and I will miss him. He was quite an inspiration to me when I learned of my own cancer. RIP, my friend. David and I were honored to have known you.
