Barbara Sue Carter ''Memaw'', age 70, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. Barbara was dearly loved by her husband, James Robert Carter and three children, Michael Ray (Lisa), Beth Anne (Stan), Brian; 11 grandchildren, Shane (Kelsey) Craig, Josh, Anna (Sean), Austin, Alex, Aaron, Allen, Adam, Alden, Ashton and four great-grandchildren, Lily, Carter James, Ivy and Easton. Robert and Barb fell in love in the summer of '59 at the Maxie Theatre in Trumann, AR. They married a year later and soon moved to Memphis, TN. Barbara worked many years as a Florist in Memphis and later retired at Target Stores. She loved to be on the move, live life to the fullest, loved to cook and was happiest surrounded by her loving family. She will be dearly missed by many. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m., Saturday May 16 at Roller Family Funeral Home on 3651 Austin Peay Highway Memphis, TN, with memorial services following at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery East, 2440 Whitten Rd. Memorials may be made to Wings Memphis and the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation

Mike, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how it affected me and my brother and sister. I will put your Mother in my prayers along with my Mother and Father.
We will not be able to attend tomorrow due to grandkid commitments, but our thoughts will be with you and Lisa and your Father.
