Daniel Beck Lawrie, Jr. (Butch) age 57, passed away in the early morning of November 8, 2014 at his home in Memphis, TN. He was born on June 28, 1957 in Memphis, TN and was preceded in death by his Mother Elise Roberts Wilson. Butch attended Arkansas State University, and after a diving accident survived 33 years with the handicap as a quadriplegic.
Butch was an Entrepreneur of sorts, he enjoyed the outdoors, playing pool, and a collector of family history and Native American artifacts. He was a member of the Audubon Society and an Advocate for the Center for Independent Living. He is survived by his Father Daniel Beck Lawrie, Sr. (Danette) of Lepanto, AR., his Step Father Robert L. Wilson, of Memphis, TN, three Sisters, Danise Lawrie Murphy of West Memphis, AR, Amy Lawrie Gibson (Doug) of Marianna, AR, and Rene Lawrie Cosgrove (David) of Huntsville, AL, and a Step Sister, Valerie Wilson (Greg) of Franklin, TN. Nieces & Nephews Chis Murphy (Trisha) of Lebanon, MO, Andrew Murphy of West Memphis, AR; Beck Gibson Brozak (Matt) of Little Rock, AR, Greg Gibson (Chelsea) of Marianna; Kayla and Sarah Cosgrove of Huntsville, AL; Seamus and Harvey Giblin of Franklin, TN, and a Great Niece Chloe Marie Murphy of Lebanon, Mo.; a close friend and caregiver Doris Conner of Memphis and many many other family and friends; his dog, long time companion and friend Hannah!
