He is survived by his wife, Freida Shaffer; father, Gardner (Sam) Shaffer and mother, Margie Shaffer.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Friday, August 10, 2012, at Roller Family Funeral Home, with an 11:00 am service there on Saturday, August 11, 2012.
Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
