of Little Rock, AR
November 18, 1973 - April 25, 2025
Lori Beth Reed, 51, of Little Rock, Arkansas, left this world peacefully for her Heavenly home on Friday, April 25, 2025. She was born November 18, 1973 to Gary and Loquita (Burt) Reed in Conway, Arkansas. She resided in Clinton, Arkansas for many years where she was raised and then started a family of her own. She was a member of Clinton Church of Christ, where she was baptized by her dad at a young age.
She loved being a part of any activities her girls were involved in or simply spending time with them. She considered her children her greatest accomplishment in life and was so proud of them for everything they did. After her girls were in school, Lori went back to college to study nursing. She enjoyed working as a Licensed Practical Nurse where she helped care for many patients. She loved helping people. She had known many medical problems herself. After her heart condition prevented her from working, Lori enjoyed going on walks with her partner, Alan, and their two dogs. She rarely went through life without a pet by her side or on her lap.
Lori is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Caleb) Pryor of Sherwood, AR, her parents, Gary and Loquita Reed of Clinton, AR, her siblings, Brian (Amberlee) Reed of Lubbock, TX, Erin (Chad) Saunders of Wooster, AR, Rachel (Josh) Newland of Greenbrier, AR, her partner of ten years, Alan Barker, of Little Rock, AR, her former step-children, Jennifer (Lance) Shipley of West Plains, MO, Joseph (Sarah) Willingham of Apex, NC, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, cousins, and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Katie Holcomb, and unborn grandchild, Peyton Holcomb, her paternal grandparents, Bill and Laverne Reed, and her maternal grandparents, Elmer and Ocie Burt.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Clinton Church of Christ. Celebration of Life Services for Lori will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Clinton Church of Christ. She will be laid to rest at Plant Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at both UAMS and Arkansas Hospice, located in CHI St. Vincent Hospital, for their care over the course of her yearlong battle with cancer. Lori had such a fighting spirit, and her team of medical professionals and her family were in awe of how many times she defied odds throughout her life.
