Herbert Joseph Geels, 81, of Morrison Bluff, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 in Clarksville, Arkansas. He was born on October 11, 1943 in Morrison Bluff to his parents, Frank and Mayme (Vogelpohl) Geels.

Herbert was a Subiaco Academy graduate and was retired from Innovation Industries in Russellville after 26 years of service. He always loved to volunteer to coach his sons' little league baseball teams and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Arkansas Razorback fan. He loved working on his farm, whether it was working in the poultry house with his first wife Freta or tending to his beef cattle throughout the years. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and taught youth religious education classes for years.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Freta Geels; one brother, Julius Geels and one grandson, Joseph Anthony Geels.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Barbara Geels of Morrison Bluff; one daughter, Cindy Stinnett and husband Steve of Siloam Springs; two sons, Michael Geels and wife Fawn of Conway and Brian Geels and wife Julie of Bentonville; two step daughters, Lara Siemens and husband Garrett of Clarksville and Jean-Marie Langlois of Austin, Texas; one step son, Daniel Hurst and wife Misty of Midland, Texas; four sisters, Mary Koenigseder and husband William of Greenwood, Doris Koch and husband Gilbert of Fort Smith, Lillian Kohler of Subiaco and Emily Soller and husband Bill of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren, Matt, Jordan, Caroline, Laura, Drew, Olivia and Noah and seven step grandchildren, Paige, Taylor, Sophie, Maggie, Ruby, Kaden and Aubrey and 17 nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2025 followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Morrison Bluff.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church officiated by Fr. John Miranda with burial to follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Drew Geels, Noah Geels, Matt Stinnett, Daniel Hurst, Garrett Siemens and Britt Schluterman
